Metallic yarn (jari or zari) is made by coating polyester film with a metallic layer and lacquer, slitting it into fine ribbons and, for many types, twisting or covering it over a nylon or polyester core. It adds shine to embroidery, weaving, knitting and lace.

Jari is supplied on 125 g, 250 g and 1 kg cones, packed 84, 50 and 16 cones per box respectively (net 10.5 kg, 12.5 kg and 16 kg per box).
